Hi PingSKills, i want to ask something

i always bare foot when i practice playing table tennis and it's everyday ! so is it take effect on my foot ? i fell like my foot are harder and rough. is it because i never use footwear ?

then you said that we must use shoes for the footwear. can i change it with sandals ? (my sandals also slippy and grippy because it's rubber and have not runner on it)

and also can you give me the reason why we must use the shoes ?

please for the answer :D

thank you

Hi Frendy,

If you are more comfortable without shoes for general play or training that is OK.  In our lesson we were referring to the type of shoe that you should have.

In tournaments you need to wear shoes though.  The rule states:

3.02.02  Playing Clothing
3.02.02.01  Playing clothing shall normally consist of a short-sleeved or sleeveless shirt and shorts or skirt or one-part sports outfits, socks and playing shoes; other garments, such as part or all of a track suit, shall not be worn during play except with the permission of the referee.

I wouldn't recommend playing without shoes. I find that if I don't play in shoes I end up with really bad blisters. Have other people tried playing without shoes?
