Equipment
Hi,
Just a very basic question.
I have decided to buy myself a Table Tennis Table for outdoor use.
I appreciate that the bounce and spin will not be the same as an indoor table, but wondered if you had any recommendations as to what I should look for.

Hi Graham,
I haven't had much experience with particular outdoor tables. The main thing similar to the indoor table is the thickness of the top.
Looking at some Stage Outdoor tables they tend to use Melamine Resin board. Often price within a manufacturer is a good indicator. I would pick a manufacturer and then choose the most expensive one that fits into your budget.
If there is a cache to get an indoor table, play with it outside and store it inside you are much better off and you will be able to get a much better quality table for the same price.
There's is an old saying about guitar playing - tone is in your fingers. And If you've ever seen a really good guitarist play an old guitar then you'll understand how true that saying is. I know we go on a lot about this topic but it is so true. Once you've got yourself a decent bat, it's no longer up to the equipment, it's up to YOU!
