Hi

First, thanks for all the free lessons

Second, I used to play in my home for a long time and once I started playing some guys in a different environments (Different balls, bats, and tables) I struggled a lot because I can't feel the ball when I hit it and the spin was increased which was totally different from what I used to.

My environment: Heavy ball, less spin added, more control, more speed and you can hear the ball when it's been hit

Other environments I played in: Exactly the opposite in every aspects.

And by the way, we don't use professional equipments, we only use the cheap ones because they don't sell it in our country.

So what do you think is the problem, was it the balls or the bats or the tables. and which is the right one and the one you used to play in clubs and tournaments.

Thank you  :)

Hi Adel,

The two most important factors sound like the ball and the bats. Softer ball bounces really differently.  Maybe just take your own bat and a good ball with you when you play at other places.

The ball should be reasonably hard.  Take a look at this lesson we filmed a while ago on Choosing a Good Table Tennis Ball.
