Equipment
Hi Pingskills!
I have been playing with a pre-made bat for around a year and I am thinking of upgrading to a custom-made bat but I have a query about the glue used to stick the rubber onto the bat. My question is that I use any type of glue for sticking the rubber or do you recommend that I should buy the glue that is specially designed for table tennis? I mean will it really make a difference? Can a super glue be used for sticking?
Hi Paarth,
It is important to use the proper Table Tennis glue. The rubber is too expensive to ruin by using other glues. The proper glues will also allow you to remove the rubber later and replace it. If you use other glues they may not stick and they may be difficult to remove.
Make sure you buy a table tennis bat that is suitable for your level and allows you to develop your technique. For your first bat we recommend the PingSkills Rook, and when you upgrade to a custom bat we recommend the PingSkills Touch with Mark V or Rakza 7.
