Hi Coach,

Just bugging you with a short question in relation to my hard and soft rubber question.

I've chosen to go with LKT XT (FH) and Yasaka Mark V (BH).

But why I chose soft was just to see if I like them or not compared to my hard DHS rubbers.

I was wondering what are the strengths of the Mark V which somehow has been made legendary, just a curious Q.

Ta.

Hi Alex,

I think Mark V is a good allround rubber that now allows you good control and enough speed and spin to learn with.

Choosing a Table Tennis Bat

Make sure you buy a table tennis bat that is suitable for your level and allows you to develop your technique. For your first bat we recommend the PingSkills Rook, and when you upgrade to a custom bat we recommend the PingSkills Touch with Mark V or Rakza 7.

I've been playng for 6 months now from scratch quite intensely (1-2 hours; 5 days a week), with that same bat.

I thought mark v + the tacky and soft rubber would be good rubbers that I can judge if I like soft rubbers or not.

But would you think that Mark v be too slow? (compared to DHS Neo Skyline 2 which is by BH)

with FH I wanted extra spin; not minding some speed comprimisation

Thanks for your help Alois! :)

Mark V would be slow compared to the DHS Neo Skyline 2.  Vega Pro would have similar spin to it but would be a bit faster.  Pryde would be soft but slower than the DHS.  Others may have some help for you as well.
