Equipment
Hi coach,
I have few questions.
1.What is the diference between a high throw angle and low throw angle rubbers? How to play with each of them?
2.Which one is better/easier for looping, topspin?
Thanks for answer. Wish you a nice day. Thomas
Hi Thomas,
The High Throw angle rubbers tend to be able to lift the ball more off backspin. The low throw angle rubbers the ball comes out flatter.
For looping the high throw angle rubbers tend to be better. They are my preference anyway.
There's is an old saying about guitar playing - tone is in your fingers. And If you've ever seen a really good guitarist play an old guitar then you'll understand how true that saying is. I know we go on a lot about this topic but it is so true. Once you've got yourself a decent bat, it's no longer up to the equipment, it's up to YOU!

Also be awate that the blade has its own throw angle as well. So if you pair a high throw rubber with a high throw blade, you get an extra-high setup. If you mix a low throw blade with a high throw rubber, you get a neutral setup. Etc.
