Ye, it's true that some guys in my club use a lot this serve and it's quite annoying ... I can push it back but I found it risky and I lose my advantage, they will attack me before I noticed ... I would be please if you can help me.
Best regards,
Lan.
Hi Lan,
The Tomahawk serve can be difficult to return because of the amount of spin they can generate.
Like returning any serve you need to see what happens with the ball when you return it. If the ball goes to the left you need to angle your bat more to the right and vice versa.
This also applies to the height of the return. if the ball is going up too high you need to angle your bat down and if the ball is going into the net angle your bat up.
There is nothing particular about the tomahawk serve that is different to returning any other serve. It is a matter of adjusting and learning every time you receive the ball. Watch carefull y when the ball misses the table to see where it goes so that you have the best chance of adjusting the next return.
We show you how to get those Tomahawk serve low to make them more effective and harder to attack.
