I just glued some rubbers onto a new blade. I now realize I put too much glue and didn't let the glue dry and have to reglue them.  Could you provide a list of mistakes people make when gluing rubbers and how the mistakes affect the bat?  I noticed the thick glue made the rubber slower although it could also be the new blade I was affixing them to.

Hi Sergio,

I will see what other experiences other PingSkillers have had.  The too much glue is not as important as making sure the glue dries well otherwise it will feel very soft and the ball won't come off the bat very fast until the glue finally dries under the sponge.

1) Not about gluing itself, but related: ordering water-based glue so that it travels through some places where it is cold at the moment. If the glue freezes and thaws, it is gone.

2) Not putting enough glue, especially for the very porous sponges: if you put only one layer, some of the glue goes into the pores. And if you don't put another layer afterwards, the rubber may peel off soon.

just put the rubber on the blade, don't stretch, don't pull

I have watched the video..but I am still unsure.
Whenever I try to remove the rubber,I tear its edge.
Last time,I was removing my long pimples for 20 minutes until I removed even one centimeter.
I have torn it four times at one centimeter.

DK,

I guess at that point your rubber is not salvageable anymore and your only goal is to prepare your bat for the new one. If so, you can apply some solvent (White Spirit, Acetone or any paint removal agent) with a smal brush in the groove between the blade and the rubber. Let it operate a little bit, then pull what you can, then start again. It's tedious, but it works. When you're done, let the bat dry 100% before starting with gluying your new rubber.

Hi Alois,

How are you? I need some of your advice. I have T11+ blade and want to glue new rubbers for looping, speed and spin on FH and a rubber with good control and speed on BH. What do you suggest?

Hi Ryan,

What rubbers are you using at the moment?
