Training
Hi!
How can i practise forehand topspin individually ,as i do not have a table at home i have it at school.
With the wall I try but the ball does not come on the table after hitting the wall.
Hi Huzaifa,
It is really difficult to practice the stroke without a partner. Maybe just think about doing one stroke at a time against the wall. Even if the ball doesn't come back on the table then catch it and do another.
By throwing in some unexpected long returns you will keep your opponent off balance and this will make each short push you do so much more effective. That's why it's important to be able to return long. You've got 2 options. You can flick the ball or push it long and fast. This week our focus is on these types of returns.

This is how I initially practiced my forehand topspin alone:
1. Throw a ball on the wall
2. Let the ball bounce on the wall and floor
3. Topspin the ball to the wall
4. Catch the ball
5. Repeat
In this drill, I tried to brush the ball upward as fast as possible, made the contact as soft as possible, made the ball go as slow as possible, made the ball descend before hit the wall, and made the ball bounce upward when hitting the wall. Very hard to contact with the ball when started practicing, but I think it's useful later when I applied it on the table.
