Hi Pagnarith,

A topspin is used when the ball is reasonably low over the net.  The contact is a brushing contact to generate the spin.  The Smash is a flatter contact used when the bal is up at least shoulder height.  Take a look at the two lessons on the two different strokes, Forehand Topspin and Forehand Smash.  This may also help you to sort this out.

Don't take too much notice of the Star ratings on bats.  They are often a self rating by the manufacturers that don't mean much.

Keep watching the lesson on the Forehand Topspin.  Make sure you are hitting the ball slowly at first to get the stroke technique correct.
