What is that shot that ma long plays in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KzwH5LPdd2Q at 00:30 for the 3rd ball attack ,Does he brush the ball or does he smashes it?

I am not able to play that stroke what should i do to play such killing shot.

Hi Swaraj,

He makes a fast topspin.  A lot of players think that this is a smash.  It is very important on these sorts of strokes to hit the ball with a lot of topspin otherwise you are decreasing your chances of getting the ball on the table.

HIs follow through is quite low on this shot because there is already a lot of topspin on the ball and he has to keep the ball down.
