Serving
I am having difficulty effectively serving a fast ball with topspin. I cannot get the motion or the speed of the racket right. I could really use some help on this, as without a good fast serve I often find that I am serving short far to often.
Hi Greg,
A fast topspin serve is too easy to return once you start to get up a little higher. YOu will find that no matter now fast you serve it, the serve will be easy to attack by your opponent.
You are better to work on your short serves. Try to get them short and low with as much sidespin or backspin as you can. This will be an effective serve.

Interesting. I have to admit when I serve long and fast I serve topspin 80% of the time because it is easier. I better practice my backspin long fast serves!

I find it a lot harder to get the contact right when I try and play a short topspin serve. It normally drifts long because the ball will kick off the table due to it having topspin.

for this serve, i just have my bat open and block stay to block (soft block) but remember not to close your bat because the ball is low (because it's a serve and bounce low)
sir Alois, I wanna ask about Topspin Serve, how to make that serve ? Because the ball must be throw if you want to serve but it's hard to make topspin by throw the ball...
so what should I do ? please for the answer :D thank you ^^

By brushing up on the ball you can get topspin. As we talked about earlier though, the fast topspin serve is not something that you should be working towards.
