I have watched Harimoto & Boll's match (forgot when the match happened). I saw Boll on some breaks touching the right part of the table beside the net. What does it do?

 Hi Chris,

They do this usually to wipe their hand of sweat.  Sometimes though it is just a bit of a routine to buy some time.
