 Hello, Alois and Jeff,

I have noticed that a lot of players will place their flat hand on the table, next to the net, between points.  Why do they do this?  Is it some kind of rule, or just a superstition?

Thanks

Marv

Hi Marv,

This is usually to wipe the sweat off their hand or cool their hand down.  For some though, it is a habit or ritual and just part of their routine.

I was also always thinking about why they are doing it...I am always trying just to calm myself and do not stop my feet.

All my teammates do that, but the most of them do that with their non-playing hand
