Hi! I wanted to ask whether or not I should change my table tennis bat. I currently have a mark V full racket with wood and rubbers I am an attacking player and I do think that I need some more spin on services and shots. What could be the possible rubbers and wood I can use. I was thinking of tenergy but it is quite expensive. I also needed a good blade for better flicking but it shouldn’t be too fast

Hi Abrar,

I would try a slightly faster rubber.  There are hundreds of options.  We use the Rakza 7 rubber as the next step up in speed.  You can keep the same blade at this stage and see if the change in rubber is enough.

Choosing a Table Tennis Bat

Make sure you buy a table tennis bat that is suitable for your level and allows you to develop your technique. For your first bat we recommend the PingSkills Rook, and when you upgrade to a custom bat we recommend the PingSkills Touch with Mark V or Rakza 7.

I think this blade is slow and I need a new blade with a flared handle. Rakza 7 is fast but does it have enough spin? My weakness is chops when I loop them the just go high so the player just smashes the ball and my flick on backspin rarely come on the table

The Rakza is a bit faster than Mark V and will allow you to lift backspin.  Try that first before getting a new blade.
