Equipment
Hi coaches,
i have recently changed my rubbers and i have a problem with it. The rubber was too sticky that it makes the ball very slow. I tried to bounce the ball on my racket and it only gets 2-3 very low bounce and the ball stick to the rubber after the last bounce. Can u give some advice? btw, the rubbers were dhs hurricane 2 and skyline 3.
Hi Patrick,
That extreme stickiness will wear off. When you hit the ball it still should come off well with good enough speed.
There's is an old saying about guitar playing - tone is in your fingers. And If you've ever seen a really good guitarist play an old guitar then you'll understand how true that saying is. I know we go on a lot about this topic but it is so true. Once you've got yourself a decent bat, it's no longer up to the equipment, it's up to YOU!

Those are Chinese rubbers so they're meant to be hit with power,no tap soft hits. With a little dirt or powder from the ball will make it less sticky. But the stickiness will never wear off once you clean the rubber. I've had my hurricane 3 neo for over 2 years and its sticky as new.
