Hi Alois,

I just got a new bat,  Stiga Offensive NCT (used to play with Stigar Allround Classic), with Donic Sonex JP Gold (2.0 mm forehand) and Tibhar Aurus (1.9mm backhand). Do you think this is a good combination of bat and rubbers to have and would it take long getting used to a new bat?

Hi Chau,

Not sure.  Can any of the readers help out here?

It should only take a few sessions to get used to a new bat.  Make sure you play some practice games before you start to use it in competition.  The hardest part about getting used to a new bat is the return of serve and pushing short.

Tone is in Your Fingers

There's is an old saying about guitar playing - tone is in your fingers. And If you've ever seen a really good guitarist play an old guitar then you'll understand how true that saying is. I know we go on a lot about this topic but it is so true. Once you've got yourself a decent bat, it's no longer up to the equipment, it's up to YOU!
