Hi Trilochan,

They are different events.  The Men's singles is just one player playing another in a match.  The winner of the match progresses to the next round.

In the teams event, the team is made up of 3 players.  One of the players plays two singles and the other two play one singles and a doubles.  This makes 5 matches.  The team that wins 3 matches first progresses.
