Wobbly on LP side

Strokes

Hi Alois

I quite enjoy hitting a 'wobbly' with maximum spin when the ball is hit short and I'm back from the table.  Since changing to LP on my BH side, however, I'm at a loss what to do when the ball is falling low and on my BH side.  Obviously, with LP, I cannot put any spin on it so spin deception is out of the question.  I just try to hit the ball deep, but because it has no spin on it and has to be hit up, it usually ends up going long.  I probably should be twiddling, but any other suggestions?

Thanks

Ji-Soo

Hi Ji-Soo,

Twiddling is the best solution.  Apart from that just developing touch withe the pimples to keep the ball long and low so that they can't play as strong a shot.  Give it a bit of a wobbly movement at the end to fake the contact and hopefully give your opponent enough to think about to preoccupy them.
