Long pimples reverses the spin. If you hit a topspin stroke to long pimples it comes back with backspin but what actually happens to the ball? Amazingly it continues to spin the same way but when it's going away from you it is topspin, and when it is coming towards you it is backspin. Interesting don't you think?
