Hi John,

It is never too late.  It is great that you are looking at improving your game.

Remember the purpose of joining a coaching group is to get better.  If you do that then you are winning.

A friend also started at the age of 19 and is now one of the to Veteran players in Australia winning several national titles.  I think he will keep playing forever as he has a great passion for the game and for competing.

It may be a little more difficult to learn the skills at 19 than at 9 but it is certainly possible.  Just work on them and see how far you can get.

I wish I had played serious table tennis from 19 years of age like you and not waited until I was 37 to start playing pennant and regional competitions.  Best of luck!
