Attacking a higher dropshot

Strokes

Greetings PingSkills Team

recently I learned that there is one serious issue in my game: when I chop and my opponent does a long/mid-long mid-height ball, I need to attack it.
But as this mostly happens when I am far from the table and it is very difficult to use forehand in this situation, because I recover from backhand chop usually.
If I would want to use forehand,I would need to perform 3 more steps forward and also I would need to turn around in 180°.
So my question is: how can I attack such a ball using backhand?
The rally in this video should give you a good example of what I am talking about:

Thanks

Hi DK,

The principles of the Backhand smash are the same as we show you in the tutorial on the Backhand Smash.  The key for you is to move in fast enough to get position to make the stroke.  You have to be close to the table to have a chance of hitting this on the table.

I have already seen the video.
However,I seem to do something bad.
My shots are mostly going behind the table or into the net base.
Also I seem to have a lot of unwanted sidespin on my shot.

It may be a matter of getting to the ball quicker.  If you don't get there early enough then you should choose to chop the ball again.  Only when you get there early and the ball is high then attempt the smash.

See dude, instead of defense play aggressively and attack . Give ur opponent a chance to defend.

being a defender is not so good. But by the way what type of racket do u use ........based on that I can suggest u to attack or defend

Ummmm, defence isn't bad, it's more of adjusting to your opponent's weakness. I don't get your comment DK.

If your backhand using long pips, I would suggest putting some side spin on when smash. Long pips is not a stable rubber, by putting side spin would be less likely to miss and can still have the power.
