Hi,

does any way exist to practise backhand chop and forehand chop alone?

Hi,

Similar to training alone with any skills it is limited.

You can hit the ball against the ball and then chop the next ball back. You can also do some shadow swings (playing strokes without the ball).

It's important to take the initiative in a rally. My old coach used to call this forcing the pace. To get better at forcing the pace, we are going to consciously go for more power on our third ball shots. We may miss a few more balls but that is part of our development.
