Hi for this website http://www.tabletennisdaily.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?2072-How-to-serve-backspin-and-nospin showing Tang Peng slow motion service, at the 15s frame, how does he create the backspin??Was it the vertical change of the racket to a flat change and a direction from the top of the bat to the part near at the wooden handle? Thanks.
Hi JinMeng,
It could be the motion from the tip to the handle. It is just a small movement down. He doesn't get much backspin on it. In fact I would say this is more of the o spin serve because the return is flicked fairly comfortably.

Hi JinMeng,
Now that the Receiver can watch the contact of the ball, a good returner will be able to see what spin is on the ball most of the time. There is no such service action which with experience the returner cannot differentiate. The best you can do is make the actions of 2 different served look as similar as possible. In fact often just a variation in the amount of spin makes an effective serve.

Yesterday, someone I played with quite an amount of experience performed a similar kind of serve as the video I asked you to view above. His angle was extremely wide and fast and he could disguise putting in backspin or topspin.
He mentioned to me that the backspin could be created by pressing the ball down. Is that true? do you know what he means?
Also, how did you make it so fast and wide with accuracy? Such that the mistake of the ball bouncing on the floor of the opponent side(no bounce on table) is prevented.
