Hey guys

Thanks as always for the great show.

Before I get to practice, I usually watch a video or two to get my mind focused on TT. The video is generally on an aspect I am looking to improve on or have been struggling with. When I get to the hall, I do some stretches and running on the spot and some shadow strokes. Are there any routines including training exercises I can do when I get on the table that will allow me to get into rhythm quicker and allow me to play at my normal level sooner as I sometimes find I am only playing normally after the first 5 set game.

Thanks

Hi Roneli,

Challenge yourself more with the hitting.  Do some anywhere hitting which will force you to track the ball better straight away.

Also play some practice points or games as well.  Starting the rally with a serve is a key component to a good warm up before a match.

#25 - Serving with Spin

You get plenty of opportunity to practice serving with spin in this week's training plan. We change the normal routine slightly by not having a dedicated serving time at the end of the session. Instead we focus on and practice the serve through most of the exercises. This is an important part of Table Tennis so put a lot of effort into this session.
