I need advice on how many competition shirts and shorts do I need. I'm a weekly club player and a lot of local tourneys are happening in my place. I plan on entering as many as possible to gain playing experience.

I'm planning on just wearing plain colored T-Shirts for matches like Round Robins. When it's about semi finals I'll be wearing my competition clothing.

Hi Carlo,

The shirts are not that important.  Get a shirt that feels comfortable for all your matches.  If you don't feel comfortable in your early rounds you may not need a shirt for the semi-finals.

The shirt doesn't have to be a well branded one just comfortable for you to use.

The things I look for in a shirt are that it will allow be to move through the range of all my strokes and not too big so that it doesn't get in the way of my serve, especially the pendulum serve.  Material that allows the sweat to go through and not sit in the shirt.   A lightweight material tha doesn't restrict me.

Comfortable is the key.

How many you need depends on how much you sweat.  If you are a big sweater or not.

Shorts don't need to be changed too often, I would say you would only need one pair for a tournament.

Alois, I was asking how many competition shirts and shorts do I need. Not what kind of clothing I need.
