Serving
PINGSKILLS
How do you do a deviated spin serve? By this I mean the ball does not curve in the air but when the ball lands it will bounce almost sideways? So if I understand it correctly the ball is spinning only on its longitudinal axis.
Thanks so much
Keep up the great work
Andrew
Hi Andrew,
The ball will have a lot of sidespin. To get it to not curve in the air, the ball will need to be travelling quite fast. The slower the ball travels and the more spin the more it will curve.
When it bounces on the table the ball will go sideways because of the spin on the ball.
