Better club players are telling me that my away from the table backhand follow thru needs to be more horizontal than the above the head...

Hi Lance,

The finish position and the plane of the swing depends on the spin on the ball coming in to you. If there is a a lot of backspin on the ball then your stroke needs to be ore vertical and if there is topspin then you can have your bat move more horizontally.
