Do you know the specific hand signals for doubles? It might not be the same for everyone. But what have you used?

Hi Andrew,

Each pair will devlop their own set of signals.  Some common ones are:

Little finger means short backspin serve

Thumb means short topspin serve

The fist means no spin serve

Pointer finger means long backspin serve

You can develop your own set with your doubles partner.

Hi Alois,

Are the signals best called by the server (indicating what he intends to do), or by his partnet (indicating what he whats).

Hi Glenn,

I think it is better by the partner because he is the one that needs to make the next ball.  However, in most cases the server will call it and the partner will change it if they don't like the call.
