Hi Coach,

In may my play became more offensive and i decided to buy a stiga offensive ntc with the skyline 3 neo and tenergy 64. because my old bat was not what i wanted anymore. But since then i have less control with my loops. I think this combination is too fast for me and does not totally fit my play. when im in the mood i hit every ball with a lot of speed and spin but most of the time they end up going off the table. So i decided to finish off this season with this bat and then go back to something with more control.

I came across the video of the pingskills touch and i think this blade in combination with vega pro is exactly what i need, im not looking for a lot of speed anymore, just a lot of control now. but i was wondering are there blades similar to the pingskills touch? because im not sure i can buy one because i dont have a credit card and i cant get one.

(and btw i dont know you remember anything of this stuff what a asked during summer break but i stopped with the penhold grip, it was just painful for my fingers and there was no1 else playing penhold at our club and i dont want to learn it the wrong way)

so... is there any similar blade to the pingskills touch?

thanks in advance,

-Edwin

Hi Edwin,

Find any manufacturers all round blade.  I wouldn't go for Vega Pro though.  It will be too fast and you will have the same problem as you do now.  Go for a slower rubber as well.  In fact I would first think about just changing the rubber on your bat to something slower. Mark V or Yasaka Pryde are two possibilities.

my previous bat was a joola impulse or something like that and mark v on both sides, i did not like these rubbers at all. i dont know the pingskills touch is a fast blade or not but i think only a slower blade will already make a huge difference for me

Yes ideally go for a slower blade.

I searched over the internet for allround blades and i think the Timo Boll ALL might be a good blade. 'good for allround play and controlled offensive play style' And its very cheap too, like €27,-
