Receiving
Hi there! In your videos you told how to serve but didnt told how to face it.kindly tell me how to face a fast serve at corner of the table.
Hi Saurabh,
If your opponent serves fast you must play an attacking stroke. If the ball is fast it will usually feel heavy, like it has backspin, so you need to use topspin to lift the ball over the net.
The first thing to do is to make sure you move into position. The natural reaction is to move your bat first. Try to resist this and move your feet before your bat does anything.
Take a look at the video we have on basic moving. This may help you.
Question actions
After the ball has left the server's bat, they can no longer affect the spin that is on the ball. Any movements after the contact are referred to as fake movements and are meant to confuse you as the receiver. You need to focus on the contact to read the spin.
