Strokes
Hi Alois and Jeff!
What should be the angle of racket while smashing and looping be in penhold? How should be follow through while smashing or looping in penhold?
Thank you!
Hi Harikrishnan,
The follow through and angle of the racket for the penhold should be the same as for the shakehand for the forehand loop and smash. You can watch our lessons on the forehand loop and smash strokes as the principles will be very similar regardless of whether you are using a penhold or shakehand grip.
The forehand counterhit or forehand drive is the foundation for more attacking strokes such as the forehand topspin or forehand loop. There are 3 critical factors:
If you concentrate on these 3 factors then your stroke will become extremely consistent. Once you can reliably hit 100 balls in a row then you are ready for more attacking strokes. If you can hit 1,000 balls on in a row then you know you've truly mastered the stroke.
