Hello.

My question is about the types footwork pivot in table tennis.

1. single step

2. side to side

3.?????????

4.?????????

please help me.

Hi Reza,

The main thing is to think about the most efficient way to get yourself into position to hit the ball effectively.

Single stepping and side stepping are both good options.  You can also jump sideways with both legs and the other common one in the crossover footwork for when the ball is very wide.  This is like a running step to the side.
