Hello,

Is there any particular style of play that suits taller players?  I would like to know if there are any shots, grip styles, or strategies that would help me capitilize on my height.

Thank you.

Hi Ted,

The biggest problem for tall players is usually the ball in the middle.

There are no real styles that are particular to tall players.  Samsonov is an attacking player who uses a lot of control.  Jorgen Persson if an attacking topspin player with a strong backhand.  An old player Kalinic was very tall and played with the penhold grip and was a close to the table blocker and attacker.  There have been many tall defenders as well.

Do what feels comfortable for you.  That is one of the beauties of table tennis.
