Hello, I've been watching some of your videos and they are really good. I have a question, what type of serve would you recommend me to do as a beginner and how do I do that serve? Thank you

Hi Matthew,

Firstly make sure you learn the basics we show yo in How To Serve.

Then work on starting to generate some spin.  I think the easiest serve to learn initially is the Pendulum Serve.  Start with a side on position on your backhand corner.  Then lift your elbow up to shoulder level and only use your forearm, mainly your wrist to generate the speed on the ball.  Try to get a brushing action on the contact to get the ball to spin.

Take a look at the section on the Pendulum Serve in our Serving Secrets section for a lot more information and videos on how to do the serve.
