How to improve my backhand push at home?
Hi Sid,
You can utilise any table and push it up against a wall and hit the stroke you are wanting to improve. It isn't ideal but if that is your only option utilise it well.
You can also use shadow play. That is playing the stroke without a ball. You can do this in front of a mirror and watch the stroke you are playing. Compare it to the tutorial we have on the Backhand Push and see if your stroke looks the same.
Question actions
To confuse your opponent you need to produce variations in spin. Just by mixing up heavy backspin and light backspin, you make it really difficult for your opponent to control the ball. In this master class we discuss the best ways to achieve this.
