Training and Drills
Hi Pingskills
Next week I'm participating in the CBSE CLUSTER TT COMPETITION ( Interschool TT Competition) where I will compete against the students from different schools not only in our state but from the country
It's a type of A National Level competition where students from will participate
I think that I am not ready for the tournament that's why I am feeling very nervous. I have been practicing TT for more than 2 hrs (both in school and home) daily for more than a month but I could not find any improvement in my skills. I am not able to execute a topspin smash properly and dont know how to block it properly.
What should I do at this stage to improve my skills within a week so that i could compete against top class players all over India?
Hi Aryaman,
Firstly stop worrying so much. Your level is your level for now. Use the competition as an indicator of where you are.
Don’t try to change too much with you game within a week. It just won’t stick.
Focus on the things that you can do rather than what you can’t. Practice the serves that you can do and see if you get gain maximum confidence in these. Also practice your returning serves by finding someone to serve to you.
I am sure that you have already made improvements in the time that you have been training. We are often the worst judges of our own abilities and improvements.
Good luck with the competition and just see where you are with you game.
