Hi Alois,

I think that my opponents can easily attack on my serves. I need some help with my variations in my serves. What can I do ? I lose some of my games due to this problem.

Hi Cloud,

It's great you are paying attention to what parts of your game need improvement. Practicing your serve is a really good idea.

The first thing I would suggest is to make sure you are serving the ball low over the net. This will make it harder for your opponent to attack. Then make sure you vary your placement. Serve some short to the forehand, some short to the middle, some short to the backhand, with the occasional long serve.

Once you've got these aspects under control then you can work on variation of spin on your serves. A good serve for this is the pendulum serve as you can get good variation with a similar action. Remember that varying the spin can also mean varying the amount of spin and not always the type of spin.

This video called stopping the aggressive return might help you too!
