Receiving
it is difficult me to receive no spin(little top spin) fast service, delivered to either corner. suggest me to easy position and proper stroke to receive.Thanx for help.
Hi Amrit,
To receive no spin or topspin serves that are long and fast, the best idea is to take half a step back from the table and topspin these back. Because they are long, you should have a chance to attack them.
Being back form the table will give you a little more time to cover the wider fast balls.
A really important skill in table tennis is to be able to judge if a serve will be short or long. If it's short you won't be able to take a full swing at the ball and hence will need to use either a push or a flick to return the ball. However, if it is coming long then you can make a topspin attack. In this video we give you some tips to help you judge the length of the serve and hopefully this makes you a better returner.
