Return the ball under net level

Is it allowed when you return the ball, around the net,but under the net level.

Hi Mohd,

Yes that is allowed.  So the ball doesn't have to go over the top of the net to be in. It isn't allowed to go through the net though.

Doubles Serving Rules

In this video we go over the somewhat complicated rules of serving for doubles in table tennis. There are a couple of extra rules for doubles that you don't apply to singles. In doubles you always serve from the right hand box diagonally to your opponent's right hand box. Each player has 2 serves each. If you've just been receiving then it's your turn to serve next.

The ideal shot is if you manage to make the ball roll on your opponents side, as demonstrated by Mattenet at 1'05" into the video. That makes it close to impossible to return.
