hello pingskills

recently, I'm trying to introduce TT to my 8 years son. I'll give him my second blade (cornilleau hinotec off-). Now I am thinking about the rubber but I only have rubbers with max thickness (729 faster 2.2 mm).

are rubbers with max thickness suitable for him to develop strokes?

Is 729 2000 tackspeed with sponge 1.8 mm (someone says that this rubber is a cheap version of mark V) suitable for him?

Hi Ilmi,

The main thing is to get something that is slow enough for him to learn the strokes.

I don't know enough about the 729 rubber 2000 Tackspeed.  I would probably go for something even slower than Mark V.  I don;t have the definitive answer but something like the PingSkills Rook would be ideal.  This combination is slower and will provide a good base for him to learn with.
