Rubber grip

My classmates said my butterfly racket has lost its grip . they said players put something on the rubber to gain more grip.is it true?if it is true what thing did they put on it

Hi Janray,

Once you rubber is dead there is little you can do legally to get it back to grippy.  You should first try to wipe it with some water and see if that helps at all. 

Some players have talked about using vegetable oil on their bats to increase the grip.  While this is illegal it may be possible.
