Legality to serve outside the longitudinal line (side line imaginary prolongation).Some argue it is illegal...Thanks for your dedication to the sport.

Hi Roberto,

You are allowed to serve past these imaginary lines.  You can go as far away as you like as log as you don't move too far forward so that you are in front of the imaginary latitudinal line in line with the base line of the table.

Doubles Serving Rules

In this video we go over the somewhat complicated rules of serving for doubles in table tennis. There are a couple of extra rules for doubles that you don't apply to singles. In doubles you always serve from the right hand box diagonally to your opponent's right hand box. Each player has 2 serves each. If you've just been receiving then it's your turn to serve next.
