Serving flat and fast

HI Pingskills i'm Johnny, and i'm a beginner.I won a lot of matches but i still have a problem with a serving. i don't know how to serve a fast strong serve without spin, so can you please help me ?

Hi Johnny,

The idea is to hit the ball flat straight behind the ball.  When you are training, put a piece of paper in the opposite corner of the table and try to get the ball to hit the bat as fast as you can.  Don't worry if the ball goes off the table sometimes, just hit it flat and fast.  You will soon find that you will develop a good flat fast serve.

As you play better players, you'll find they are good at attacking these long fast serves. As a guideline against these players, we recommend you serve 80% of your serves short and only 20% long. Of course you should vary this according to the individual player and how well they return different types of serves.
