I practice serves in our gym the table is bit crooked and the bats have very used rubber.I practiced back spin serves again and again cant seem to get the ball to come back same with side spin serves the spin do-sent get much better. I used the techniques you showed on your videos.SO any ideas ? practicing on a crooked table is it bad ?

Hi Supun,

The first thing is to check if the rubber on your bat has any grip.  Rub your finger across the rubber and see if it feels tacky.

If it does then the next thing is to make sure you have enough angle on your bat when you are trying to get the ball to come back.  It will feel like you are facing the bat to the back wall on contact.  If you can do that with a brushing action then you will start to get the ball with enough spin to come back.

Take a look at this tutorial on Ma Lin Ghost Serve Bat Angle.  It should help.

The crooked table is not ideal but probably not the issue with not getting the ball to spin back.
