hi Alois,

i read in one of your interviews (when you were in india for CWG games) that slow topspin is your favourite stroke, was just curious to know why and how it has helped you over the years. when would you use it, great if you can sight some examples

Also wanted to know jeff's favourite stroke and how it helped him.

Regards,

Manish

Hi Manish,

I find the slow topspin works for me because I can vary the placement of the ball.  Especially today most players play fast so are not used to dealing with a slower topspin ball.

I tend to use it off most long balls especially a long push.  It is great when the ball just goes long off the table and I can pick it up with plenty of spin.

I will let Jeff tell you about his favourite stroke.

isn't slow topspin easier to attack?

It can be if you use it all the time and they are waiting for it..  It can be really effective because of the variation of speed and spin.

My favourite shot is the counter topspin. It is just a great feeling to be able to hit a loop off another loop!
