When/How do I know if it is a good time to use spin?

Hi Ciaran,
In general you should always use spin for a serve. The main thing to consider is what does your opponent like and dislike. If they like spin then you can think about other ways to earn points.

Tactics Against a Good Short Pusher
Use a long push or a flick to open up the game against someone who is beating you at the short game. It might not be your favourite way to play but if you are losing the short game you need to mix things up. In the long run you certainly need to improve your own short game.
