Table tennis serve for tournament

Hi sir . it has been 6 months that I have started playing table tennis and after two weeks I m going for my first table tennis tournament.I am still a beginner and I am very nervous for my match. previously I had been serving backhand normal without tossing the ball. now I m scared . sir should i practise a new serve or do my backhand serve only. pls tell

Hi Bakshish,

Well done on entering your first tournament.  This is a really good step forward with your development.

It is really natural to be feeling nervous.  Everyone feels the same at their first tournament.

The main thing is to think about how much you can learn at the tournament, not trying prove anything.

I would just use the serves you feel comfortable with.  You don't need to do anything different just see how your skills match up against some other players.
