What is the difference between "tuned" and "untuned" rubbers.

Hi Joe,

Tuned means they have been treated with a chemical to make the sponge expand slightly.  This is not legal...

Which isn't really the same thing, just a marketing ploy.  "Factory tuned" just means the manufacturing process has been changed to alter the nature of the rubber.  Because it is part of the manufacturing process, it is really just another rubber variant.
