IMO first of all, TT is so popular there, second they have a huge number of population, so the base selection is huge also (you said they have 20 mil registered players), third (I will not be so popular with what I'll say), they have more discipline, more tough methods of training, there is no "parenting" there so kids are more disciplined and parents give more credit to couches and their methods of training, their mentality is orientated more to hard work, repetitive without asking "why", giving credit to the specialists, all of this mean more hard work on training, so more high results.

Obviously the Chinese are using the same training technique as did their predecessors in the Soviet Union and the GDR (German “Democratic” Republic) in gymnastics, for example. That’s why the dominance. Plus unbelievingly huge recruitment of players from the 1,5 billion population. Work hard and you’ll get your prize on top of these swarms of the unnoticed who would never make it to the top! Best, Andre

They have tradition the ping pong as the englishmens are the football.
They have many players than other countries and they training hard.
